Hazleton City Administration
The City of Hazleton operates as a Mayor ‐ City Council form of government (Code of Iowa, Section 372.4). The Mayor is elected for a term of two years. The Council consists of five Council Members and each Council Member is elected at large for overlapping terms of four years. The Mayor, City Council Members and other City officers have such powers and perform such duties as are authorized or required by State law and by the ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations of the City of Hazleton.
